This past weekend and up until tomorrow I’ve been in Las Vegas, and I would consider myself to be a big over packer when it comes to going basically anywhere. However, I’ve traveled kind of a lot over the past few years and I think I’ve narrowed my travel beauty essentials down to a science by now. This might seem like a lot to some people and barely anything to others, but for me it’s perfect!
Also, if you’ve read my site for a little while you may know that I’m vegan, so that means that all of these products are cruelty free and do not contain animal derived ingredients. I decided I wanted to really open my eyes and understand what happens in a lab facility where makeup is tested on animals and it’s atrocious. Companies are using dogs, cats, rabbits, any animal they can keep in a small cage for their entire life. They purposely breed beagles with diseases and physical handicaps and use them to burn chemicals into their eyes and skin. I’m going off on a tangent, but that’s why you will only ever see cruelty free products on this site. Keep scrolling to see what I consider my travel beauty essentials!
I featured this in a makeup haul I did a little while ago and I absolutely love it. It’s made a noticeable difference in the whiteness of my teeth for sure. I’ve been using it twice a day every day for about two weeks, and I want to keep going with the progress so there’s no way I’m leaving this at home when I travel!
I picked this up recently mainly because I needed a new under eye concealer/highlighter, but it’s actually a double duty product that also comes with a tinted moisturizer. The end of the product has this little rollerball cream concealer that does a beautiful job of brightening up my under eye area and the tinted moisturizer is almost a perfect match for my skin tone. I definitely love two in one products for traveling because I’m always trying to save space and pack lighter!
I bought this lip pencil from Tarte as part of a holiday set last year and it came with 8 of these lip pencils. They’re shaped like giant crayons and give a really smooth application and they also hydrate your lips. Again, the mini size is perfect for traveling.
I’ve probably written this before but I’m a huge fan of Pacifica. They’re a 100% cruelty free and vegan brand and you can find their stuff at Ulta and Target. Their packaging is beautiful and despite the fact that this brand is considered “drugstore”, this is very high quality stuff that’s free of the typical allergens and harsh chemicals that destroy your skin which are typically found in most drugstore (and even high end) beauty products. I was lucky that my Target had a travel size version of this face wash since for this trip I flew and only brought a small carryon bag so I’m able to put this in my liquids bag no problem.
Their body butters and hand lotions are the best, what can I say?
I’ve tried almost all of the different kinds of makeup wipes they have and my favorites are probably the detox ones (linked above) and the cactus water ones. They all smell amazing and you really can’t go wrong with any kind of these. They’re the only makeup wipes I will use, and I think everyone can agree that makeup wipes would be part of their travel beauty essentials. These ones are biodegradable which is so cool!
This is actually a newer product that I own and it really does give a pretty dewy finish. I got this mini one at the same store where I found the mini face wash but I feel like a lot of Targets will carry the travel size version of this!
This is a brand that I’ve worked with in the past and I love their mission and ethics. Everything is natural and non irritating, and their products are so pretty.
This is something that I picked up in the beauty section at Whole Foods and it’s become one of my favorite shampoos. It’s made by a Canadian company (I got it in Vancouver a while ago) but you can check out their website!
I feel like pretty much everyone owns either this or Rosebud Salve. I own both and love them both but I personally love mint so this one is my favorite!
