Over the weekend I made a trip to Sephora, which I actually haven’t done in a while. I wrote in an older post that I’m currently in the process of replacing the makeup I have with cruelty free and vegan alternatives. When I say I’m replacing my products, I just mean that I’m using up what I have left of certain brands – not throwing it out! So anyway, I thought I would post a vegan beauty haul to show you guys what I got and also to show that it is possible to buy beautiful high end/high quality cosmetics that are not tested on animals! Animal testing is a very ugly and violent process that is completely unnecessary in today’s day and age, so when we give our money to companies like the ones I’m talking about today, we vote for ethical and compassionate practices in the beauty industry. Scroll down to check out my new vegan beauty haul and to read a little bit about each product!
Shop The Post:
The first thing I picked out was this deodorant from Tarte. I love Tarte as a whole because they’re cruelty free and extremely vegan friendly. I’m so excited to try this deodorant not only because it’s vegan but also because it’s aluminum free (some scientists believe that there is a link between aluminum in deodorants and breast cancer). It smells amazing and I can’t wait to start using it. You can find it here!
The next thing I got was this teeth whitening pen. This might be the thing I’m most excited to try out of all the products I purchased, since I’ve been looking for a natural teeth whitener for a LONG time and I finally found this one that is free of bleach and triclosan (can you tell I don’t like harsh chemicals in my beauty products?!) It’s highly rated on Sephora’s website and I love the packaging too. You can find it by clicking here.
I actually found these new lip balms from Pinterest and fell in love with the packaging so I ran out and bought one! This one is just a clear high shine balm which will be in my purse at all times because I always keep my lips moisturized. You can purchase this product here.
This brand is pretty well known on Instagram and I love their feed and have been wanting to try their products for a while! This is just a sample size of their Coconut Melt that I plan on testing out on my skin and hair. You can find the product here.
I’ve been in need of a good face mask, and because I have dry skin and needed something really moisturizing, I went for Oatifix from Lush, since any vegan beauty haul would not be complete without something from them! This product is really highly rated as well and I absolutely love Lush so I’m counting on this doing wonders for my skin.
With a name like “Milk”, it wasn’t immediately clear to me that more than half of their product line is vegan friendly! I’m brand new to this brand and I think their packaging and product line is so modern and sleek. I got this bright pink lip and cheek stain with the idea that I would just use a tiny little bit at a time and go from there. Get one for yourself by clicking here!
I’m a huge fan of highlighters and cream highlighters are my favorite, so I had to pick up this one from Milk. It’s a classic champagne color and I think it’ll be great for my skin tone. Get the product here.
Surprise, I got another highlighter! This one is a liquid highlighter in pen form and the color is so beautiful. It’s very ethereal but at the same time natural looking on your skin. You can purchase this here.
The last thing I picked up was this Cover FX makeup setting spray. Cover FX is a 100% cruelty free and vegan high end makeup line that has gotten very big in the past 1 to 2 years – their most famous product is their infusion drop bottle that you’ve probably seen on Instagram or Pinterest at some point! I always love a good makeup setting spray because I’m a pretty active person and tend to spend 10-14 hours outside of the house at a time on a pretty regular basis, so I need something to help my makeup stay in place! You can get it here!
Thanks so much for reading about my vegan beauty haul. Have you tried any of these brands or products? What are your favorites?
