After living in LA for 4+ years, I’ve decided to put together a list of the best Instagram spots in Los Angeles. If you scroll through this list, you’ll notice a theme. I’m only including the best (and my personal favorite) walls and murals in LA. This post will be helpful if you’re looking for some great colorful and creative backgrounds to see and photograph in LA, and who isn’t? Our murals and street art are just one of many things that make the city of angels one of the most amazing places in the world!

Another great thing is that more than half of these are located on or very close to Melrose, so if you’re on vacation or only in LA for a limited time, you can make a day of exploring Melrose and seeing these murals. For now, here’s my mural focused list of the best Instagram spots in Los Angeles:
Shop My Favorite Summer Looks:
1) Girls Tour
Find it at: Sorella Boutique, 712 N Orange Grove Avenue
2) La La Land Mural
*This one is constantly changing and currently is home to a Coachella mural! Before these, it was a Valentine’s Day themed wall with pink and purple lip prints against a white background, and I’m sure they’ll change it again when Coachella 2017 is over!
Find it at: Carrera Cafe, 8251 Melrose Avenue
3) Made In LA Wall
Find it at: Cisco Home, 8025 Melrose Avenue
4) Colette Miller’s Angel Wings
These murals by Colette Miller are painted all around the world, from LA to Paris. The message behind them is a great one – you can check out the artist’s Instagram here!
Pictured below: Melrose & Ogden (very close to the Girls Tour wall) and 1135 E 5th St in the DTLA Arts District
5) California Dreaming Wall
Find it at: Chinese Laundry Headquarters, 3485 La Cienega Blvd
6) Famous Pink Wall
Find it at: Paul Smith, 8221 Melrose Avenue
7) Upside Down Los Angeles Sign
Find it at: Assembly, 7977 Melrose Avenue
8) Stand Here and Think About Someone You Love!
*This one is still there but has been painted with a slightly different pattern than the one below. It still has this phrase though!
Find it at: Dangerbird Records, 3801 W Sunset Blvd
