Today I’m posting about my NYFW Day 2 experience! This was actually only my second day in the city, but it was by far my busiest. I went to 6 (almost 7) shows, in this order:
Starting out with Nicholas K, I loved the gold lamé pieces in the collection – the clothes were very flashy and extravagant, which is always eye catching and fun to look at.
Ane Amour was very feminine and soft. This collection was honestly right up my alley too. In the info packet I was given at the show, it says that a lot of faux leather is used in the collection to “reflect the theme of Artemis, the protector of animals” (the show was named ‘The Daughters of Artemis’). This is another made in NYC line that I have a lot of respect for. Check out some of my favorite outfits from the Ane Amour AW2017 collection below:
Next was Tadashi Shoji. This was one of the shows that had lots of hype around it and it did not disappoint. The outfits were so beautiful and feminine and I absolutely LOVED the faux fur, the florals, and the Japanese aesthetic of the line.

Right after Tadashi Shoji I had Noon by Noor. Again, the use of faux fur made me so happy and excited about the future of fashion. I also got to see a model that I think is going to be huge in the coming months and years, Line Brems, pictured below in the beautiful full length faux shearling coat:

Next, I had Katie Gallagher. This one started off as a runway show and then transitioned into a presentation which I thought was really cool! I loved this collection and its athleisure inspired pieces:
My final show of NYFW Day 2 was Michael Costello. I’m a big fan of the neutral colors and romantic style of this line, plus the hair in this show was so fun and really added an interesting twist to the outfits!
Thank you and I hope you enjoyed reading about my NYFW Day 2, my experience from the rest of NYFW will be up soon!
